I used the lite version for about 5 minutes before I purchased the full version. I love to sit and look at the intricate mechanism. Sometimes it gives me a chance to just sit and think. I also find the ticking and chime sounds very soothing. I hope the developer will add some more features to make this even better, but I already think its excellent. It can only get better in my opinion.

I love this app, even the ticking. Its beautiful. However, I do notice that I have to look closelt to actually figure out what time it is. Then hands seem to blend in so nicelt with the background that its a bit difficult to pick them out. Otherwise, its great!

I have many clock apps, but for some reason, this is my favorite and the one I use almost all the time now.

A most wonderful application to have running while the MAC is sitting on your desk, either at home or the office. My only wish is if one could turn on full "quarters" alerts and have them play a bit louder with a bit more verbosity all while keeping the ticking sound playing, at at a normal level; beside these two things, this is a very stylish application to have running on ones MAC.

It works just fine on my Macbook Pro.

People always always see it and do a double take then ask me what it is. I love the look of it. Not bad on the price. All I could ask for is different clocks rather than colors.

On my Mac Mini (2.3Ghz, 8G RAM, 512 Vram) this causes the fan to run constantly and the app appears to use a continuous 10% of cpu. That seems somewhat excessive. I can usually deal with the CPU usage, but the constantly running fan is a worry. Support is PC oriented, so it wasnt much help.

Nice looking wallsaver, wallpaper whatever that comes with several different customization options for users. Paid version allows you to to set the clock color to gold or silver, add chimes, background sounds. The developer of this app has a bunch of other excellent screensavers and wallsavers that are worth checking out. Click on more by 3planesoft at the top right side of the page.

The first thing I would fix would be the realism of the chimes. The "decay" of the chimes are prematurely and artificially cut off - so its obvious this is an electronic simulation. Let the chimes slowly fade off - as mechanical chimes actually do. This would be an easy fix for the audio. Number two - it would be nice if there were more than one clock face style from which to choose (modern, art deco, antique, minimalist, etc.) Otherwise, this is excellent.

Why is 4 IIII and not IV? Everything else is in roman numerals. This is the only thing that bothers me, but it looks really cool regardless.

After years of working with computers, I have been seeking ways to make my desktop feel more substantial and realistic rather than cold and flat. This is one awesome way to do it. I have two monitors, my main one is my 27" iMac, and the second an older squarish flat panel. I put this clock on the other panel, so I have it sitting next to me, and I get to see the clock a little more often since I use that space less. IT is indeed like hving a grandfather clock without taking up anymore space! And even better, I know that the time is actually correct. I really like the options on the sound settings; it really allows me to customize it to what I want. I would keep it running even when I am not on the computer in screen saver mode, but because of my preference to reduce energy costs, my computer is set up to go into sleep mode right away. So I mostly enjoy its benefits as I am working. My cat really likes it, too, and will sit watching it, as mesmerized as I am by the inner workings. I wish there were more apps out there like this one for our desktops. But this one has managed to truly capture some authenticity. It might be nice to have options for other clock faces in the future. Great app, and well worth the price. Thanks!

I really like this ap. My only hesitation is with the brightness of the number discs. On my 27" iMac they are okay, still a little bright. I prefer the more antique look of the inner gears, though a little brightness would be good. Theres just a bit too much for my taste. On my Macbook with its 17" screen, though, the brightness is even more overwhelming. I want to be clear, though, that the ap is really wonderful and these comments are meant to be helpful to the designers and not a deterent for potential users of the ap. Its a delightful part of my computing experience.

I love this app - the wonderful ticking sound, the fascinating inner workings that show you how the wind-ups work, and the chimes that remind you time is passing! Its a wonderful background accompaniment to life. It would be even finer if there were other options for the clock face. It is a bit hard to find the hands of the clock and I would love to have something like a regulator face or other such options. Not digital - no, not that. But other faces where you can see the time at a glance, without trying to make out which part is which. Other than that, this app has become a good friend and has added a steady and pleasant backdrop to my environment. Thanks 3Planesoft!

this clock is awesome, it looks really cool, it has all those moving parts including the pengulem, and it actually chimes on the hour, gongs on the half hour. i love that you can make it your desktop, thats the way i always set it up. this clock it very classy, and it cost way less then a real chiming clock. love it.

I had installed the lite version and within 2 minutes, I was downloading the full version. Its just a beuatiful piece of art as well….and a conversational piece whenever Im in meetings. I just wish that were options and upgrades to feature different dials and also a mechanical date option on the face of the clock. Then itd just be perfect!
